Long commute to work and a shorter one back as meeting the family at a pub circa 1.5hrs into the return leg, just as it starts to go downhill :(

40km before breakfast at work to get me over 300km for the week, then homeward leg will get me to over 320. Arbitrary target achieved. Work stuff in between I suppose.

    Morning folks,
Bit of a lie in at the moment as I have the day off because today is the day. MF is not the only one excited about it although for different reasons. Later is bike ride with pubs added, got to keep our hydration levels up you see. This will be followed by a visit to a pub before collapsing.
    Happy damned Friday.

Slacking from home. Is that the sun I see?

Maybe take the bike out to draw some tan lines or laze.

Either way, I am le hungover.

    Morning
Dry but cooler here. Yesterday’s walk has left me with sore legs to go with the sore back from shifting logs.
Not sure what the day ahead holds, might ride my bike again if nothing else comes up.

Tried gymnastics last night by climbing on a chair to put the loft hatch back.

Chair gave way, I went down, cruckled ankle with a black egg on the side.

    MF is well excited.

MF has also had enough of his current position. he cannot see the point anymore and he does not trust anyone around him.

Afternoon, productive evening on the bikes, new hanger and chain appeared for the plastic one so its back ridable, an fitted the latex toobs after faffing with the valve extenders. Commuter just got a patch over the hole and the glass picked out the tyre so nothing too drastic.

Much shouting in Spanish this morning resulting in not a lot being done elsewhere. Rest of the day shall be spent doing very little, FP2 at 1:30PM though so will watch that the Giro from Pizzo. Club ride later rumours of some other local club doing a TT next weekend some I'm expecting to see some random TT bars added to peoples bikes tonight.

Good pedal in, including a little race from Waterloo to The Marylebone Road with some beardy tw@t with headphones on who didn't like a 50-something accountant on a hybrid overtaking him - several times :)

Now stuffing face with sushi and doing a bit more car research.

I'm trying not to be, quite badly.

The chair didn't collapse, it just sort of toppled over away from under me.

Knackered. Going to be glacial heading home. I hope dinner will be substantial, if not, I foresee snacking. I think there's a beer in the fridge, and there's certainly wine under the stairs. I just have to decide what to open. Not sure I have the mental capacity though!

Meh. Raining here and chilly. Some frikkin summer this is. Glasgow is really lovely this time of year.

Didn't spot anyone trying to break in next door.
Dunno what 'IT' is. Perhaps VN got bought a years supply of Viagra.
Do you need to shout in Spanish to Spanish trees? i'e Does this process require the native tongue for the native jungle (and the right sort of snake*)?

New Old Banger is in for it's MOT. Apart from 2 rear anti-roll bar bushes, I doubt there's much wrong with it.

*Added for no logical reason; purely for amusement.

Ah, mate, you know what its like when you have given out all your phukks and there are none left? Had enough of somewhere that promotes (in all senses) mediocrity, is populated by people who you know have an agenda behind the scenes and there are others taking the proverbial out of the system while failing to support you because they are either utterly clueless or just don't care as to/about to your role?

Need to sit down with TDV and see what major calamities would happen if I went to pastures new. Bit of change but could either work out really well or go massively turnip shaped.

Either way, 3hrs 15 to go.

    +1

Except I am home and I was slow. Must have injured myself racing the beardy bellend this morning.

I was truly stodgy. I managed to decide what to open though. I've added spicy potatoes to dinner in huge quantities. I might get half cut and listen to appetite for destruction.

Good day, a little over 30 miles on toe paths of varying quality and four stops in pubs of reasonably good quality. Tired now.

Either you're really clever like innit* or that was just an interesting coincidence.

I ain't not really clever. I've eaten approx 750g of spuds. I rarely eat spuds.

I have been told not to listen to guns n roses. Sitting in garden shivering and watching the bats.
