    Morning folks,
Quite pleasant out there this morning, light cloud and not too windy. The mercury was almost into double figures as well. After quite a pleasant ride in I got to my desk to discover I should have gone for a longer ride as the poxy computer system is down. So sat here surfing the web instead of dealing with the orders that are waiting for my attention.
New old bike should be delivered to work today, a colleague will drop it off at mine later, or at least to the pub where I shall be meeting the Mrs for a swift one, or maybe three. Might ride down to Brooklands tomorrow for the AutoItalia day, usually some nice stuff down there for that. The rest of the weekend will largely consist of pottering in the garage to avoid being given jobs by the Mrs. Might play with new old bike or make a start on bamboo bike.

    Work from home.

    That was just for Pinno.

Hoping to bail early, sungod style. Smashed all-comers on the ride in, not bad for a fat booze-hound. Hoping for a longish flat ride at the weekend, probably solo, but might see if I can persuade someone to act as a windbreak.

Could always clean your rifle, I suppose.

In any case why aren't you hurrying up even more getting ready to wait?

It's Friday evening, which means I am in an airport again, heading home. Glamorous, not.

End of a silly week at work in which little got resolved and much more was identified as needing desperate fixing. Eek.

Had planned to go drive a possible new car tomorrow but it's too far from home so will probably just be busy with DIY power gardening tools again.

Stuck at desk listening to management webcast on poor first quarter. Oddly the share price is up. I don't understand the stock market. I'm hoping for an opportunity for early retirement with some sort of financial sweetener in the wake of the huge acquisition that now seems inevitable. But I suspect I'll be disappointed. Sunny weather and next to no breeze outside, so my thoughts naturally turn to cycling. But I have a heating system to drain down and a radiator to swap. Think I'll leave early and try to do it tonight; we ain't going to need the heating on, and then we get 3 days of wall-to-wall sunshine to play with

over 500m of up in the first 19ish km, after that it was all uphill

saw the famous duck of femes while i was stopped for a coffee at the top, it was crossing the road, took it's time about it too but no one ran it over

massive headwind again, at least it made the way back easier, especially after the donut

    got some extra beer

Good ride in and it was a nice day so I did a bacon butty run and got the minions a Friday treat. Some people are easily impressed :) Will be bailing early to go pick up junior from her after school class - school's now out for summer apart from a few GCSE's.

Gah! Bike hasn't turned up as the driver wasn't feeling well so didn't go to Bradford. Feeble excuse, doesn't he know I have fettling to do? Just been to the cafe, now feeling rather snoozy.

Shelves put up and lovely ride achieved.

Cambridge is bloody flat although I did find a 10% hill. Fortunately I was going down it.

Is that for a more serious injury than the Mr Bump plaster?

You may joke but MF has a huuuuuuuuuge Mr Tickle plaster ready for that one occasion when it all goes horribly wrong,

He is Saving it for that special day.

I note that our resident squaddie-patcher-upper has started referring to himself in the 3rd person. This could be interesting, or it could just mean that the pastis has been attacked early.

Completed first bike ride in 2 months managed an hour and half without too much trouble. Back and shoulder ached though, not sure about that wind thing though. How long has that been around.

If MF were to start shooting squaddies he would have more to do and less waiting. He just has to make sure he only shoots them a little bit rather than shooting them to death.

Good news Webboo, bet it felt good to be back on the bike. Doesn't seem to be much wind around here thankfully.

MF doesn't like shooting things. It means that he has to clean the stupid thing afterwards.
