Move off the front of the peloton with most important teams represented excluding quick step after the first ascent of the Muur.

I was wrong, QS are represented, but movistar are chasing it down along with AG2R

Something funny going on with the Eurosport app. Eurosport 1 has disappeared at the moment so all I can watch is motorbikes or snooker! Seems intentional as it wasn't showing in the schedule this morning.

    Nibali attacks at 45km.

    Quite a few follow, unsurprisingly.

24 man group ahead now, mixture of the break and those who went with Nibali.

Incldues Rojas, Gilbert, and a whole bunch of teams.

15 seconds is the gap; peloton is strung out.
  • rick_chaseyrick_chasey Posts: 54,003 Lives Here
Nibili pushing the group on; 24 seconds now.
  • rick_chaseyrick_chasey Posts: 54,003 Lives Here
A bit of sandbagging in the group up front but a few still keen to drive it on.
  • rick_chaseyrick_chasey Posts: 54,003 Lives Here
Majka in the front group, Costa, de Marke, Kiriyenka, Jack Hake, Anthony Rou, Izagueri alongside Nibali, Majinski, Kangert for Astana, Fabro for Katusha, Geshke sunweb, Anthony Perez, Gilbert with one other QSer.

Gap up to 35 after some effort from the bigger (status) men in the break.
  • rick_chaseyrick_chasey Posts: 54,003 Lives Here
Split in the front group, with 6 off the front, including Nibali, a couple from the break and a couple others.

    Gap plummeting.

Most of the break has given up, save for Kiriyenka and Marczyńsk for lotto

Demarcke makes the bridge and then drops everyone on the Cote.

Nibali in a group of 5 now chasse patat.

Kwia goes into the attack, having already been very attentive on the first muur ascent.
  • rick_chaseyrick_chasey Posts: 54,003 Lives Here
Correction, De Marke and Kwia are chasing Group Nibali, who is 38 secs ahead of the peloton.

Theuns, Nibali, Costa with I think 3o thers.

The music for the 'sponsored by Sigma Sport' advert sounds remarkably like the theme for the Gomorrah tv series... so now I've got aggressive Italians with pockets stuffed full of drugs lodged in my head.

42 seconds for Group Nibz at the top of the Muur.

De Marche & Kwia are swallowed up by peloton.
  • rick_chaseyrick_chasey Posts: 54,003 Lives Here
So what was that Lotto chasing all about?
  • blazing_saddlesblazing_saddles Posts: 16,928
