Morning all,

I'm looking to purchase a Trail bike (27.5 or 29er) and looking for a bit of advice.

Currently ride on the road and do some cyclocross but looking for something to use with the family and to do a little more technical stuff (live near Hadleigh Park, Essex) but won't be looking to do any black runs.

Being a fan of Rose Bikes I had been looking at this:

https://www.rosebikes.co.uk/bike/rose-count-solo-2-bike-now/aid:2683995?bikevariantchanged=2683995

but saw this yesterday and seems good value for money but can't find many reviews and certainly no indication of weight:

https://www.merlincycles.com/diamondback-lumis-20-1x11-mountain-bike-2017-105282.html

Merlin also have the Lumis 3.0 for £150 more but seems the only difference is better brakes.

Does anyone have experience or knowledge on the Lumis and it's approximate weight?

Any thoughts or other suggestions welcomed.

VooDoo Bizango, Calibre Line 10, Calibre Boss Nut - Go Outdoors in Basildon have them for £899, bargain.

Also JAMIS Dakar and Sonder Transmitter.

    All these are 10/10 bikes

    Thanks for the replies....

I've heard good things about the Bizango - just not sure on the current colour scheme on the current model.

The Calibre Line 10 looks great value - think I will need to go see one in the flesh as the colour scheme again doesn't do it for me from the pictures.

I'm not looking for full suspension so that would rule out Calibre Boss Nut and the Jamis.

Sonder Transmitter looks nice - but a little above my price bracket (which has already gone from £500 to £750ish).

    thanks again!
