Following an incident with a car v Kask Protone I'm in the market for a new helmet and was considering the RH+ Lambo in either standard or MIPs configuration. Anyone got one as struggling to find any reviews on line?
I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.

  • Kask UK distributor used to do crash replacement. But it's against RRP so not awfully cheap but may still be cheaper than the RH+

If you really want MIPS, and it is very good, the Giro Cinder MIPS is currently cheap. Provided it fits, naturally.

TBH I didn't find the Protone that good a fit and was looking to change soon, my old Mojito being a much better fit. The interaction with the road and a car has sped that process up.

The Lambo is available for around £90 and the MIPS version for around £120, both being significantly cheaper than the Protone. I just can't find any decent reviews or UK stockists to go try one. Suppose it'll be a case of buy one and hope it isn't a mistake. I was thinking the MIPs was a gimmick, the opinions of it being varied around the internet.

  • For me the MIPS tends to raise the helmet off your head slightly and increase comfort overall. So worth having.
