Cold. So cold. But at least it's raining, which is nice. We haven't had a bit of rain for ages so it'll be good for the garden.

No snow here yet, but boy it’s cold out there

Good walk with hound and eldest, not a rush this morning as I’m working from home

Later won’t be the pub despite a pals birthday, as we had a beer last night

    Pineapples again?

Forecast yesterday evening was 6 inches of snow overnight (or similar apocalypse). Dry as a bone this morning, -1 on the car thermometer. Cycled in on the road bike and it was almost light the whole way. Only my thumbs were cold, painfully so.

Karma says something bad's going to happen later.

pineapple is the fruit of the gods, once changing hands for a small fortune

though he hides it well, it's a little known fact that ppp actually stands for pinno's pineapple paradise, having fallen into disrepair (ppp that is, not pinno himself, though some may differ on that point), he acquired it and has since been restoring it to it's former glory

I think Piña is in a worse state of repair than PPP ever was.
Bit chilly again, not quite as chilly as yesterday though. I can tell because the puddles in the park weren't completely frozen. Wobbled in on the CX bike, I was considering the old MTB if it was icy as flat pedals and fat tyres are a little easier when it's very slippery.
Was supposed to be out for beer and curry tonight but a couple of the guys have wimped out so it might get postponed again.
No pineapple in my smoothie this morning, just banana, apricot, mango and a variety of berries. As there was a risk of being too healthy I had some biscuits with my tea when I got in.

Is Schrodinger's pineapple the one where you lock sungod and a pineapple in a box, and the pineapple is both "eaten" and "uneaten" until you open the box? A dual state pineapple, only resolved by observation.

Bright and sunny, bit chilly, nuffink special though. No feats of scoffing planned today. Just normal Tuesday stuff.

Just finished snowing here, very nice dry powdery stuff unlike the soden wet stuff we had last week. Still, it'll all turn to ice tonight, it's going to be slightly cold I think. Really starting to worry that I don't have enough wood to last out the winter so I'm off down to the woodfuel co-op to buy compressed sawdust this afternoon. Might have to get the central heating fitted sooner rather than later...

    McNing

Grey, no snow, hail, rain and randomly no frost on my car but the other halfs has which is right behind it, Socialist ice monkeys no doubt are to blame.

Schrodinger's pineapple may be missing a chunk as I had some with brekkie, large coffee using a mug you can loose a rich tea/digestive in whole.

Hoping for some snow later gives me a reason to use the wood burner!

  • We are now officially resident in Tas. Ownership transfer done yesterday, and the container arrived this morning. We had to be here early for them, and it was a spectacular start to things. Stood on my dining room balcony just after 7am, this was the view:

Rest of the day was spent unpacking boxes till I found the kettle and associated stuff. Assembled the bed for later, sorted the wi-fi network stuff, and now just sitting back with a glass of red watching dusk settle over that view.

Completely shagged from the day's work, but I don't care.

Well done WS - the new BB lifestyle guru. That's if jealous bar stewards don't put a price on your head :)

Spent a fair bit of the morning nailing down the new job with the big cheese over in KOFFA and it's now done but don't start for another 3 months yet. I thought this song was an appropriate one for the day 8) :

None of the previous owners put an oil system in ours, unlike the rest of the village. We now get a big discount on electricity for 25 years due to a windfarm that we can't see so a cheap storage heater system is going in asap before we freeze to death

No such luck for me, oil mans coming tomorrow to refill, had an attempted snow flurry dog alerted me to it as she was barking at it.

Can't I just run some cables from next door an give then a tenner each month to cover my electric use? I have a couple of oil heaters I can use.

What he said. 10 Groats and a pigs liver for Spinners head.

Well, funnily enough, I has been wrestling with the wet back log burner. It was incontinent and I was 0.00001% off from just sacking the f*cker and blanking the pipes off but attempt No. 5 seems to be successful.
It was great fun mopping up freezing cold water and trying to drain the system after each attempt. If anyone has tried to seal brass elbows onto cast, then you'll know what it entails...

Suffice to say, I had both burners working simultaneously whilst I finished off the water resistant plasterboard (now I have the shower unit template) and the house, bar clearing it out, is ready for plasterergeddon. I should feel happy but i'm too knackered and in a bad state of repair to be in jubilatory* mood.

*I just made that word up, good innit?

Soon Mr Miyagi666 will be telling us how to wax on, wax off

Oh, did I say?: Snowed for a short while last night and then it turned to rain, then we had some sun and then there was a hail shower from hell.
