    For. The. Last. Time. Ever....

Spent a few hours cleaning the cr@p off our roof, 100% of which comes from the miserable tw@ neighbour's trees. Wasted far too much of my life doing that because they're too selfish and inconsiderate to bother trimming them back at all.

Celebrated with a B&E roll + chips for lunch. Went to physio to get the neck and back fixed after the work as usual.

    2 days.

    Can't wait!

    Morning folks,
Dark and moist out there this morning, good day to be driving in with the plague being a convenient excuse. Feeling a little better today at least.
Is the miserable tw@ neighbour the one you had the argument with the other day Spinner? So having spent the last few weeks packing I take it the next few weeks will be spent unpacking.
Lovely article that SG, just got lost into it for a few minutes. I do like a pencil, I believe the story that the US spent fortunes developing a zero gravity biro and the USSR took a pencil is an urban myth.
    Onwards and upwards...

    Morning

Drove to work 'cos it's forecast rain later and I'll dissolve.
Went for a run instead and it wasn't dark - summer's coming 8)

D*head light should be arriving this morning - although it's coming by Yodel so maybe June.

Likewise, I do like a good pencil...

Nah the neighbour I argued with over dinner is actually an all round decent bloke, just odd and opinionated at times. His wife is Thai, and a delightful person in every way. How she copes with him is an ongoing mystery.

The miserable tw@ neighbour is a whole other bucket of rotten prawns. We've spoken once in the last 5 years, and that was a waste of time and oxygen. He (and his missus) are quite genuinely people you would think three times about pi$$ing on if they were on fire.

  • Wedding anniversary today, 18 glorious years!

Yes, she have gotten less for murder etc etc etc...

Thunder however has been stolen by grandchild #1 as today is also his birthday so tonight will be a nice mix of Prosecco and Minion cake!

Spent the weekend digging out for piling and foundations for the extension, the bad news is it's now raining. The good news is I have a moat.

Congrats on the moat HD, have you got a drawbridge? Oh congrats on the other stuff too I guess.
Regarding neighbours will there be less of that where you're moving to Spinner? The lad doesn't have an issue with neighbours give that this is where he is living at the moment, long trek to the pub though. He's only got just over a week before travelling resumes though.

You can withdraw it so that counts. That must mean you live in a castle.

Looks nice if a bit out of the way for amenities apart from willing livestock :)

Looked out the window this am, saw blowing a gale and lashing with rain so deferred pedalling until tomorrow. Even the hound was reluctant to go out first thing.

Holiday now sorted, just got to get my bloody shoulder op out the way next week.

Rode in on a roaring tailwind. Homeward leg won't be quite so much fun, though it won't be as wet.

Utterly mundane day, tw@tting about with numbers. If the wind isn't too bad I might add a few km of distance and metres of elevation onto the ride home.

A moat and a drawbridge would come in handy sometimes.

Our new place has a distinct lack of neighbours, none that we can actually see or hear from the house at all. This is a snapshot of the place from satellite. We've bought the 10 acres, so that whole point from the wall of trees on the left. The paddock behind is guaranteed empty, not zoned residential at all and the back boundary is around 400 metres long, so we're a good way from the nearest other people. One of the two properties adjacent to the driveway entrance is a vacant block, and the other side appears to be only weekend holiday accommodation. It's a *very* quiet spot. 8)

Can walk down the front directly onto that beach. We're planning to get kayaks. And maybe a single speed fatbike for sh!ts and giggles on the sand along to the headland. All the open space on the top left (extends a long way beyond this pic) is public land for walking or riding. Yay!

Just watching Surgeons on Beeeeeb 2. These dudes are ridiculously brilliant.

I normally feel quite stupid when hanging out with doctors, surgeons are another level.

Immediate trauma specialist, not doctor. Different strokes.

I can't do their job, they can't do mine.

I make people die more slowly, they get them better. Level I'm at with my background is senior paramedic in the normal world but I live in a ditch. I can also use different protocols and techniques to the average civvies bod as we've discussed before.

Just a level up from me doing first aid at work then?
I hand out plasters regularly, occasionally tell someone they need to get to hospital, frequently tell people to f@ck off and only had one bloke get deaded on me so far. All that for an extra £100 a year.

Yeah - basically. I get a special penknife though that allows me to open bottles of wine and perform crichoidotomies. Now that's a bloody good word for a Scrabble board.

Maybe, but it's not exclusive to doctors. Just look at this forum...

Could come in handy for when you're practicing your table tennis? A bit like one of those tennis ball serving machines.
