Bont vaypor+ Allen key size ? Replacement lace

Hi all and happy new year

My lace broke and Atop are dreadful compared to BOA, finding spares in the UK either direct or from Bont is useless. I need to order the Allen key as my smallest is 2.0 - just wondered if anyone has the correct sizing please?
I bought the lace from BOA there superb (never buying atop again)
I'd guess its 1.5 or 1.0

    on my shoes with boa dials, it's usually a small torx bit, maybe t6

    get one of the umpteen piece torx/hex/posi/philips/flat/square screwdriver sets on amazon/wherever

    OK watching the video, if I had spare parts that would be correct but I'm swapping the lace for a boa lace. Under that video the guy has the same atop a14 rather than 17 dial.

    He uses a torx bit scanning atop website it's 1.4mm I mailed them to confirm.

    eBay has 1.5mm hex bits only. I've got 100s of hex bits just nothing that tiny :-)

    Found a 1.5mm Allen key, sadly official 1.4mm hex bit is the only route forward

    Where can you buy Atop spares in the UK Google gives me nothing do they exist ?

    1.4mm is a bit of an odd size. Is there an imperial equivalent (Since it might be US design), like 1/20"?

    simplest is probably to take a 1.5mm and grind it down a bit, or get one of the cheapo multi-bit sets from amazon and see which one you can wedge in the screw to turn it

    When I bought my Specialised shoes with Boas they came with a small allen key to fit the dial - is anything like this available from your shoe suppliers to save you hassle of finding stuff, filing it down, etc etc?

    Try finding a dealer that sells atop spares, and there reply to emails are none existing.

    Boa is a proper company, never again will I buy anything but boa. My golf shoes and trainers I can get parts direct in 3 days.

    Bodged fixed the lace tied at and super glued it for a bit lol.

    Need a hex bit for purchase on the screw

    Adding for anyone else who comes across this looking for the special hex key for the atop shoes.     cost about £5

    the "wrench" is the correct 1.4mm and works like a dream. You can look up how to replace the cord on the atop website. You can also buy a reel with the cord already on it as a spare part from FLR (again from y frame discounts) and may come with the wrench in the packet but is £11 per lace
    Alternatively the lace seems to be a piece of 1mm kevlar cord which it's possible to buy from ebay, you may need to lookup which strength of cord relates to which thickness, but it's around the 100-250lb mark £5 for 30m of cord. You can try other 1mm cord but it's not as good, currently I'm giving some jewelry thread a go while I wait for the kevlar cord to turn up from china. Hopefully this helps someone out as the atop lacing system seems great, just difficult to get spares for unless you are in the industry
