Hi
I am thinking of upgrading from my GT avalanche 0.0 it is a bit old and heavy.

Popped into my LBS and the had the Whyte 529. It is the very top of my budget, but it did have 1X10 gears

Anyone had one or can recommend something else.

Cheers.

As we can't memorise the price and spec of every bike it's usual to provide a link and your budget.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
  • Sorry
The Whyte was £950, now down to £855.

Has anyone on here own one?

    Thanks

That’s a pretty decent spec 29er for the price, but the Voodoo Bizango at £500 is probably better value, similar frame and fork but has stuck with 2x drivetrain
