Not upset but you expect a more cliff edge finale. Just seems a con in a way. This is what happens when you don’t teach kids the value of winning and losing. Like sports days where ‘everyone wins a prize’ cos no ones a loser.0 -
He's not stupid is he ? If he sees two investable businesses - why would he let one escape his clutches ? It's on the TV - someone else would have invested and reaped the benefits.
I'm happy for both finalists - I don't know why you think one needs to lose here - they don't.0 -

The boardroom hiring / firing is the biggest part of the show. To just fudge it in the finale just seems an anticlimax.0 -

Well said - I've never watched either because they're really not my thing and, in the case of The Apprentice, I don't like the idea of a license fee funded programme acting as a publicity machine for an unpleasant character like Sugar (and before anybody says it, no, I don't believe that it's just an image put on for TV - having met him on a couple of occasions, my opinion is that he is simply not a very nice individual).Ballysmate wrote:Just Googled it and I have to say, "So fcuking what? This ..... yes its only a TV programme, but it was a competition thats meant to have a winner ... The Tour de France is only a bike race the London Marathon is only a running race .... but if you sit and watch it to the end and someone decides that actually you can all win ... it makes the whole thing even more pointless.

It’s the fact it’s a tv show to me. The contestants in previous versions win or lose generally go on to be successful anyway, if not because they already are then as a result of the show. Christ, even a hate mongering xenophobic gobshite got a job in the media cos of it. The runner up will hardly be begging in the streets. But if you watch a programme each week and watch them sack them one by one, to allow both finalists to win is a sham. It’s like awarding both finalists of the FA Cup joint winners.0 -
