It is sooooo dark out there - well spooky. I’m not going anywhere,

    Time for coffee.

Morning, very cold outside again, a dusting of snow overnight, I am pleased to say I am eating porridge and drinking tea

    Morning

Bike to train station today, not as exciting or fun as I'd hoped. Trains were reasonably on time too so no working from the pub today.

I think it will be another quiet day today.

Forgot stuff, had to go back and get them, now on the slightly later train. Got a trip to the shoulder specialist this evening, lucky there's a decent little hospital just down the road from me. Just got the days work in between and it appears from my inbox that the Kingdom of Far Far Away has been busy overnight...may need to do some Teflon desking.

woah ... back roads are streams of ice and frost covered .. main roads are mostly clear until you get to junctions where the ice has snuck out of the back road on to the main

Even the spikey winter tyres were slipping today .. not had that before, glad I didnt see any other cyclists out, it was stupid conditions to ride in

Office again today, even my* waterfall has frozen over now. Looks like snow later turning to rain after 5 as the temp is meant to get up above freezing. It looks like they can't decide if it's going to stay slightly above or slightly below freezing for the rest of the week, might snow on and off or just rain like usual. Long term looks warmer for next week for traveling

In other news, picking up a deer from a friend tomorrow so today will be spent looking at recipes for Christmas. I've been talking it up as a 20 stone beast to wind my mother up but in reality it's just a Red calf

    Just piddle on it.

Very disappointed that the unknown caller from an unknown and obscure parts company didn't have a thick Brummy accent. I think it's a scam.

    The ice is melting.

Must get going me - off up to North of here but South of the middle bit but still up North.

    Laters.

Feeling like sh!t, wiped out, shivering and aching. Reckon it's proper 'flu this time. Staying in bed. I bleepin' hate winter.

    Morning folks,
Had to drive the girl in to school this morning as she had an exam first thing. Can't say I was sorry as it was cold out and the car was warm. The usual number of idiots driving around without clearing anything more than a tiny bit of windscreen in front of their faces. I really need an RPG to shoot at these people. Anyone know where I can get one? If I fit one to my bicycle what will happen when I fire it? Does the rocket propelled bit mean recoil is not an issue?
Reasonably quiet in the office today, feel I should make an attempt to tidy my desk. Alternatively someone could make me a cup of tea.

Cold pedal, some goon ahead of me came down on the ice. I was being very circumspect, which to be fair, I always am in less than clement conditions.
Dealing with HMRC on an employment tax issue today, and if anything, their employment tax people are of even lower quality than their corporate tax people. I can almost feel the embarrassment oozing off an explanatory message from their boss (our customer relationship manager) after I queried some utter gobbledygook from one of their specialists. Peanuts and monkeys spring to mind.
I have also filled an online trolley with a couple of mixed cases of wine from my favourite independent online retailer, so much delicious wine, so little money/liver capacity/time. Now wondering where my credit card is so that I can pay for it. I suspect it will be in Mrs H3's purse.
    Off to find lunch shortly.

If it’s any consolation I have just proved you can get flu in the middle of glorious summer weather here too, not a joy reserved just for the depths of winter...

Tuesday meh. Back at work, T-8 and counting. If it wasn’t for a chronic case of the CBA’s I’d have sniggered mercilessly at the project politics going on, but, well, CBA. Being careful to leave my name on as few things as possible here for future reputational impact.

Don't worry, i'll keep an eye on him. He's quite cheeky. I don't think he can be as cheeky as me though.

You want to watch out for that Edna - tricky one she is. We call her the Eel of Llandudno. She’s like a Greek harpy but only with a better line in hand knitted menswear.
