They've announced the date - it's 6th May 2018.

Always wanted to do it, never quite got things sorted so we can. Perhaps we'll try harder to give it a go this time.

  • It's great fun, and on a warm sunny day it's hard to beat. I decided not to do last year because it was blowing a gale and pouring with rain. I know - what a lightweight. Getting on the ferry from Portsmouth with hundreds of other cyclists is great, nice atmosphere.

    I'm hoping we can ride out to the ferry and back again afterwards - will take it up to the 100 mile mark then :)
  • Are you Red Funnel or Wightlink side? I'm Wightlink and they never discount the fare - Red Funnel are much better in this respect. My garmin says the ride is 67miles, 4500 feet of climbing.

    Wightlink - fare isn't much anyway - looks like I need another 33 miles in - yup - can do that with a ride there and back ...
