Can anyone recommend any mid weight l bib tights without a pad?

The dog's usual enthusiastic welcome home has put a hole in my dhb vaeon ones and I don't think they do pad free ones any more.

    Pad free seem to be becoming rarer. I got some good Casteli ones last year. Can't see them now but I think they were an earlier version of these: https://www.castellicafe.co.uk/mens/men ... ght-no-pad

    Lusso Max Repel is what I use for commuting, they also do a version called Nitelife which includes a lot more reflectives here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lusso-Repel-N ... SwXYtY2W8F

    Mine have lasted really well, 4 winters including this one, and they have just started to show some wear. Not bad as they cost me £45 or thereabouts. There are a bit more expensive now but still ok.

  • Now you've removed the 'not Roubaix' prerequisite I'll suggest the cheap as chips Planet X Clubman bibs for £21 a pair + postage. I've got an old pair and can say the zips tend to bust and stitching isn't always great but they're still a good functional pair of tights;

    I've also just bought some tights from the Pearl Izumi outlet listings (I went for a pair of Amfib tights) and they do do a pair of non-chamois bibs reduced to £40. Can't atest for longevity yet but the quality looks and feels good and their sizing is spot on;

    Pfft. She's the only one who shows any interest in me when I get home so she has to stay. Though the thought did cross my mind when she put a hole in a brand new wetsuit on holiday.

    Same in my household...and the dog is cheaper to run than the wife and kids.
