Fast Winter Bikes

I'm currently building myself a UK winter bike on an old defy disc frame but know that some day I'll want something more racey. Curious as to what everyone else has managed to come up with and if there are any hidden gem frames out there that I've missed (thinking carbon, aero, full length guards, largeish tyres). Also must look great in photos with dark clouds and puddles!

Raleigh mag burner.
The plastic wheels won't corrode...Condor Super Acciaio, Record, Deda, Pacentis.
Curtis 853 Handbuilt MTB, XTR, DT Swiss and lots of Hope.
Genesis Datum Gravel Bike, Pacentis (again).
Genesis Equilibrium Disc, 105 & H-Plus-Son.

Can't see aero making much difference when you have mudguards and the air is dense and cold and you've got your layers on...0

Agree with Cougie. Winter to me is about being comfortable and getting the base miles in. Speed and aero last thing on my mind.
I have a Trek Domane SL5 for not great weather and when its stinking bad weather a Trek Domane ALR5 with 32mm tyres and full guards. Race bike is an Emonda and i can get the Domane reasonably close body position wise. But obviously the Domane is a lot more comfortable.0 -

I live in the United States in the south-east. So, I have plenty of dry days with zero road salt to ride my Propel on. If it rains or snows, it's just a day. Just use an indoor trainer that day.

trek madone for me with 11 speed ultegra and 50s - tubs.
can't see why I should change my training bike because its winter.
i just hose it down after every ride. its ultegra so if it breaks just throw it away and buy it in the massive discounts. its a Trek so if I smash it up i'll just buy another. its not like its special.
training mate and really good friends uses an S5 with 60mm FFwds and Dura Ace di2. Same principle as my thinking.
