Hi guys, been out the game a while and looking for a FS on a budget. Decided used would prob be best option.
Seen a used turner 5 spot, wondering if this seems a good price at £300.
I'm 6'2" 80kg and mainly will ride Peak District trails.
Spec is:

Turner 5 spot 2012 21"
Rockshox tora 135mm 302 uturn
Fox float rp23 shock
Bontager rims
Shimano hubs
180mm lock on rotors
Shimano deore hollowtech crank
Shimano deore xt
Very rare bikes to pick up
Recently had full service costing 140 where the bike got completely stripped down, barely rode since

That sounds VERY dodgy. The frame alone is worth more than that.
It's obvious thrown together from odd parts. That budget fork has no place on a high end frame. It's also a much older fork. The wheels are from a Trek.
The 5 Spot of this age wasn't as good as the earlier version made before Specialized sued them.

I'll disagree with RMSC on the suspension. I rate the DW link over the old Horst, but for the rest, it's a frame with bits of crap attached. Forks should be 150mm (160 work fine as well) and even the shock looks wrong, but that might just be the big frame.

I'll give this a miss then and keep looking. I now good and cheap are hard to find but I might get lucky. I'm not against a HT either just fancy a FS
