Hello!

This is my new road bike - Boardman Team Carbon. Has been bought at wiggle. Size S, which perfectly fits my 5'9" height. All stock equipment (Shimano 105 groupset) excluding wheels. They are Fulcrum's Racing 3 with folding clinchers - RubinoPro (front), and Lithion 2 (rear).

I totally love it, can't say more! Had already completed two races on it (and set a new PB for 15-mile TT). Very pleasured by overall bike performance. Gonna work more and ride faster with this awesome machine.

Nice to see someone with the same bike as me :) A word of advice, change the bar end plugs. They have a tendency to come loose and fall out.

    Very smart mate, enjoy :)

I take it you live on the continent having bought it from Wiggle?

thanks! After two road seasons I'm not interested in audaxes anymore. Though I'm not so fast yet - my best effort is only 41:23 for 15 miles (with no aero features) - it's a racing machine for me. I was aspiring for agressive, aerodynamic "look-alike-pro" posture and this was one of major reasons I chosen Boardman - short headtube.

Thanks) Keep going... Yesterday I rode 25,5 km TT for 44:37. Average speed is a bit lower than month ago, but route was undoubtely harder: strong SSE wind of 6-8 meters/sec (especially vs my 63-64kg) and near 250 meters of elevation gain. Even TT world champ in 45+ masters said that it's a hard route 8)

Luckily, yesterday weather was fine: 17-20C and no rain, but in overall last winter was very long and spring was cold and rainy. More than half of races in the rain and/or on wet roads :( I was born 1000km farther from North Pole and I hate Moscow's climate, used to live in place with warmer and sunny weather :P

New photos with new Pro 4 Endurance tyres and road pedals)
Unfortunately, Michelin's yellow doesn't match boardman's color but I hope it looks not so bad :)

That's a real good looking bike you've got there! I don't normally like the look of Boardmans but this one is nice!!

    Road - Dolan Preffisio
    MTB - On-One Inbred

I have no idea what's going on here.
  • I'm a fan of the yellow, done the same on mine though I have a black saddle and white stem. I think it looks nice
  • With new carbon cranks few hours after full-on race test :) Even made a solo breakaway, ha-ha
Replaced stock 170mm with 172.5mm FSA K-Force Light.
This length is more comfortable for me.

    8.07 kg as pictured (17.77lbs)
I thought it weighs less than eight

Look much better now, was it easy to remove the stickers off the wheels?

Not so hard task. Requires some patience because you need to pull sticker slow and gently. Fortunately, almost all glue remains at sticker.
Also changed cassette from 12-25 to 11-23 yesterday :)

Really like these boardmans, look really smart.

With stickers/vinyls I find warming them up with a hair dryer does a good job, glue stays on the back of the sticker mostly. Quick rub with a cloth should pick up any residue

Looks brilliant, really like the yellow on the wheels as well.
  • Hi,
Your post did made me feel like buying this boardman so much. It looks really cool. Just wondering if you have tried putting on 28c tyres to this bike?
