So, I've had my beloved rigid 'shopping' bike stolen

How do prices compare now with 2017 stock clearing to blackfriday or the new year? Chainreaction has a few 29 HTs down around £800, other others have similar on Whyte eg

Also specifically looking at Halfords the Boardman Pro is £1k and with BC membership and vouchers I can get it down to £800. That 11kg Pro weight is enticing. I'm wondering if Halfords reduce the Pro versions or if they never do. Eh

Replacement will be mainly road/bridlepaths, France including mountains instead of my road bike on family holidays, or ocassionally nursery slopes at somewhere like Dalby if I'm feeling brave lol. Main use day to day will be trials type practice (not a typo, I don't mean trails) as I'm resolved to get my skills better for the road/CX.

Usually the best time to buy a bike is about 8 weeks before Christmas, that's before people start buying them FOR Christmas and after people stop buying them 'because its a bit damp out there to go riding'.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
