Which brake pads are better?

Hi,
So I bought some new break pads online last week and but the delivery was 10 days, so in the mean time I bought a pair of £2 break pads from tesco because me and a buddy managed to get together for a trail ride.
It had been raining do the ground the earth was wet and slippy but I came off 4 times!!
Anyway as luck would have it the ones I ordered online turned up the day after the ride.
So the point in this post (apologies for dithering) is, are the pads I bought online going to be any better than the generic £2 tesco pads iv got on currently?

Yes, especially when the rims are wet.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
