Dry in Shropshire - both weather and ale :( two pubs and lots of water = boring TLW

This w.end is daddy day care but poor planning means dropping kids off at clubs and visiting grandparents followed by a wedding reception without ale :(

Might go for my first run in over a week - not good
  • Morning, I was just finishing off my coffee , wondering which bike and route the heavens have opened up looking out of the conservatory windows it is absolutely bucketing down
I will try to get out a bit later when this lot has subsided
    Have a good weekend
  • Ciao

Raining again so annoyed - want to get out on Madone.

Will have coffee then take bambino to footie, walk Das Hunt, do quick weights session.

Have a black tie do to go to tonight but really don't want to - intend to be at home in bed by 11:30.

May spend some time thinking up questions to ask so Garry can give another brilliant explanation.

Morning. Off to ogle female bottoms at local parkrun, whilst hopefully not passing out from excitement. Hopefully sitting shotgun for eldest lad later whilst he drives us to his training session for the last time as he takes his driving test Monday. Friends party tonight, hopefully not to wet as outside under gazebos. Enjoy your day.

You going with your best mate Garry and his brilliant explanations?

Got to you that did, didn't it? I told you to keep calm and regardez les norks.

Science museum, burgers, take mini H3 to play on a skateboard, while the boy goes and makes attempts at pre-teen fumbling. Mrs H3(2) is at a spa, so I'm playing divorced dad. Watch insane climb in Spain. Bed.

Good lie in. Breakfast soon, then jobs, then Dads taxi. Bit more prep for my gravity trip to Sheepsville when I get some peace. Trying to avoid going to a concert that Stropteen is playing in this evening.

    Footy is back - yay.

    Morning folks,
Traditional slow start is being enjoyed. Going to my 'rents shortly to see nephew before he heads back to Italy. Down to Brighton later to see cousin and wife for the boy to get advice and a few contacts in NZ. Will need a beer tonight.

  • Dismantled scaffolding. Tomorrow will re-assemble it at the other end of the place to do some more stuff, and cheat death again working at great heights with power tools.

Actually I need it to escape from those people in the public gallery who didn't like the verdict I delivered last week.

  • At least it's out of the way Stevo. When I had to endure my jury service I was told I would not have to do that again. That had better be true
I have done lots of ironing, which was good. I like ironing. Then some washing up, soon to have pizza for tea with lots of beer and wine. Also having lots of loud music, the more offensive the better. Some gentle Nirvana for now, then maybe some Sacred Reich. I have mislaid my Extreme Noise Terror LP, so the neighbours are lucky. For now.
Chin up TLW, you'll soon be back on the ale I hope. Unless you get to like the life of sobriety?

Hate to disappoint BBG, but juror selection is random and done from the electoral roll. There's nothing to stop you being called again, unless you're living abroad, disqualified by being a convicted crim or in a small number of restricted jobs like police officer, judge etc. Apart from that the only rock solid defence is you can refuse if you get called again within 2 years of your last stint.

I know people who have done it 2 or 3 times...

    Because

A - Dress sense is criminal
    B - Seating too uncomfortable
C - Already diddled most of the jury
    D - ..
