Intermediate sprint point truly is taking the proverbial today. Who sponsors that in this race, and what have they done to annoy the organisers?

It's vital for the GC contenders to chip away at each other and bank seconds before stage 20 with it's summit finish atop the Alto de l'Angliru, when hearts will be broken and women will thrust babies towards the winner to be kissed. Until then, it's all window dressing.

Taking the definition of intermediate to a very unusual place! Hey, at least it means the sprint will be part of the TV coverage in the highlights.

Contador's giving it the big 'un. Froome/Sky must be loving this.

I do like the way Contador rides and the way Froome rides the Vuelta. 34km to go and a three man group.

And while Froome may deliver the results, he does look like total sh*te on the bike...

That bothers me about as much as the colour of socks debate.

    :D

But it's truly noticeable when you have Contador and Froome going all guns next to each other...

They're slowing to allow TVG back on... the organisers need a race...... dear oh dear, Berti and Froome could have bagged this stage if they'd kept going. The organisers would have skinned them alive...
