    Contador said before the start of the tour that he had set a new record for him on a local climb in Spain. Looks like he has trained for short climbs. Less so for big climbs. Something of a oversight for GTs.

    Yeah, all this PC guff gets on my tits. The TdF podiums are a much happier affair with local dignitaries congratulating the winner and jerseys holders as well.
