Hi all

I recently purchased a second had Trek Crockett 'cross bike. On the front is a Shimano disc brake and on the rear an Avid BB5 brake. On 'trials' they don't stop very well at all. Can I just replace the pads to see if this improves things, or do I need to replace the whole lot? Any thoughts?! Cost is an issue!!

Check cables well oiled. Fit organic pads (need no warm up, quiet, wear quicker than discs), check all adjusted / aligned correctly, clean discs, etc.
The Wife complained for months about the empty pot of bike oil on the hall stand; so I replaced it with a full one.
