gym, cafe, wfh, cafe, wtdf final mountain stage

annoyingly many gmc calls clash with wtdf, this may result in lack of attention (to calls)

Holiday countdown is in full swing :)

Today was meant to be a decent 80 mile commute but selfishly I've got to babysit the kids as the wife is out

Hoping to get out for a pedal later. Started off gloomy but it's brightening up. The only problem being a Parcel Farce delivery where you get scant information and an automated enquiry line, which means hanging around indefinitely.

What's it like over there Gazza?

Need to get the OH and toots sorted and dispatched to Arts and Crafts sesh.

    Update later.

Hmmmm suspiciously quiet, what are they up to?

Hey holiday experts. Planning a family sandy beach holiday next year. What would you say is best value for money? airbnb, pacakage deal, booking hotel & flights separately? Thanks.

Possibly down to people getting ready to go away on hols with a lot of the schools finishing up this week. That means people dumping stuff on other peoples desks so they can escape, which is what seems to be happening here  Roll on August.

I resent having to do some actual work. It's almost as if that's what I was being paid for..

    Book it all yourself separately.
Go to a website like On the Beach. Icelolly or Travel Republic. Look at where you want to go and get available flights.
Then book directly with the carrier's website. Saves about a tenner a seat each way.
Accommodation via booking or trivago etc
Transfer from airport is easily arranged online if you are not hiring a car.
All the low cost carriers are ok, even Ryanair, which gets bad press. Just follow their rules.

    Voila!!

Sean, Jet2 luggage allowance is 22kg which makes a difference if you are taking kids, or, like me, you have a missus who wants to take stuff 'just in case'
