Upragde wheels

Hi

I've been riding my CAAD8 with Shimano RS010s for the past year. I'm starting to get the n+1 itch, but have decided to upgrade my wheels first in the hope it goes away.

Anyway, I've been looking at the following:

Fulcrum Quattros

Campagnolo Zonda C17

Which would people recommend? My main riding tends to be leisure rides in the evening and weekend.
Would I see the £80 difference between the Quattros and the 3s/C17?
How big of an improvement would the 3 wheelsets be over my current RS010s?

    Well the weight of the Quattros is very similar to what you have now, so you probably won't notice any difference with those.

    But I would personally look at changing your tyres before changing wheels as depending on what you have now, they can make a bigger difference.

    It wont go away.

    But a Caad 8 with Zonda C17s is a good set up.

    To get a decent bang for your buck look at getting the C17s fitted right out of the box with Conti GP4000sII tyres.

    Using gatorskins folding clinchers at the moment (quite like not having punctures, none in 2500 miles), C17s were my preference, have read about difficulties with sourcing spokes though.

    bike-components.de is a good source for spare Campa spokes (Eurus, Zonda, etc.). Spokes shouldn't break in these wheels though (Zonda up), because they usually come pretty good tensioned and balanced from factory.
