Alright folks, I'm swamped at work and really not digging the Tour this year.

So how about a one day race to get excited about. Loads of them. Nationals weekend in the northern hemisphere...

Isle of Man for the UK, no idea about the others. TT on Thursday, RR on Sunday. Unclear if there is live coverage.

Strange to write off the TDF before it's even started?

#NKMontferland is the hashtag for Dutch ITT. Dumoulin off at 18:54, I'm guessing that is Euro time.
    Van Vleuten took women's title.

It's a little like wrestling a gorilla. You don't quit when you're tired. You quit when the gorilla is tired.

Looks like ITV4 and Eurosport have 1 hour highlight shows of the RR on Sunday. Cannot find live coverage ATM.

I'm not sure how exciting the British Men's race will be. I can see Kennaugh, Geoghegan Hart, Swift and maybe Cummings and Doull ride off into the distance on the first big climb (and it's pretty big), never to be seen again

I'm looking forward to seeing what John Archibald can do today. Been breaking course records all season in Scotland but i think this is his first national championships. He's not a typical dual carriageway TT specialist either

Add Blythe, Yates x 2 and Thwaites to the above obvs

It'll follow the usual pattern of the WT riders smashing the field early to reduce it bigly. However I wouldnt assume that someone like Ian Bibby wont be able to hang with them. Bibs beat both lil Pete and Swifty in last year's Manx Int'l. He knows Snaefell Mountain, and is a very decent descender. Lawless could play his part also, tho didnt go brilliantly in the U23 TT this arvo
