New Front Derailleur needed what type?

Hello,
I am looking for some advice? I have bought a second hand Norco which has a 2 x 10 SRAM Crank, however when I've checked the front derailleur the previous owner has fitted a 3 x 9 Derailleur, which does work but isn't ideal. The bike should have come with a 2 x 10 XT. As the bike is new to me I want to get it right, so I know that I need a new lever and derailleur but how can I tell which type? Will any 2 x 10 fit? I need the bottom pull type.

Any tips would be good. I can't get to my LBS and take the bike in because I work abroad.

Thanks in advance.
I'm over 6' and have quite a large head.

What is the original spec of the bike?

it should be shimano XT 2 x 10, but it's a 2012 bike. Don't know if the current one would work with it
