Very sad news today that Chris Cornell has died suddenly aged 52.
What an incredible vocalist he was, who didn't just stick to the rock genre. A great loss to the rock and music community and all those that followed Sound garden and Audioslave.
Always be yourself, unless you can be Aaron Rodgers....Then always be Aaron Rodgers.

    Absolutely.
The Grim reaper has claimed another one of the 90s Seattle grunge front-men from my formative years. (I'd keep one eye over your shoulder Mr Vedder).
Really sad news - as you say, a great vocalist. I remember seeing Soundgarden at Brixton way back in the 90s - brilliant band.

I have got a Badmotorfinger CD in my car right now. Darn it.

I also saw Soundgarden at Brixton Academy in the 90's, maybe the same gig!

    Hell of a vocalist
    Hell of a band

    Really sad

Genuinely gutted this guy's vocals so unique and unmistakable, wether Soundgarden Audioslave or Temple of the Dog,got to see Soundgarden a couple of times once in the 90's and again supporting Black Sabbath at hyde park a few years ago,saw Audioslave the once, two of my favourite male vocalists have come out of the era and genre Cornell and Staley of Alice in Chains, would of loved to of seen him performing some of the Temple of the Dogs material

Sadly I came to his music later on his career and never got to see him. I guess many will only know him for the Casino Royale title track. This actually piqued my interest in his music.

    Just some of his stuff:

Thank You (yes its a Led Zep cover, but by golly he did it justice plus)

Yes, really sad news. Grew up with the music of Soundgarden and their contempories. Somehow makes it worse to learn they have now declared it as a suicide, especially as it followed his performance at a Soundgarden gig. Thoughts go out to his family and friends. Thanks for all the great, great music and especially TOTD.

Cheeky WFH today, so fished out all of my old Soundgarden CDs.
Wow. I had genuinely forgotten how powerful his vocals were - truly unique. Huge talent. Massive loss.
