And, naturally, Ricard. Buckets of Ricard.

You know my top tip already - Westons Vintage Cider 8.2% ABV :) . Also have a look at Thatchers Vintage (also 8.2% ABV). Aspalls Premier Cru is also worth a look in. In the evening obviously...

If it's spirits then 16 y.o. Lagavulin, JD with Honey or Absolut Citron.

You also know of my history with cider.

The jd with honey sounds promising though. Not a vodka man.

£10 off the JD with honey at Tesco the other week...

As for cider, time to MTFU

Quite partial too. I'm not overly fond of real bitter bitters

    Favourites of mine are:

    Real drinks:

Negroni as follows: 2 parts gin, 1 part Campari, 1 part Antica Formula, dash of orange bitters. Stirred over ice, then served with a single large ice cube and a twist of orange peel.

Martini as follows: 6 parts gin, 1 part Noilly Prat, stirred over ice, served in a v cold martini glass and garnished with a couple of olives

Hennesy XO if I can afford it. Hine Rare if it's on offer. Hennessy VSOP otherwise.

    Wine:

Big fan of red wines from Languedoc and Roussillon, especially cuvees with mourvedre in the blend. Dry and sweet whites from Jurancon. German Rieslings, trocken or Kabinett.

    Beer:

Varies, but I like them all if they taste of something, so not the mass produced lagers. Not a huge fan of the massively hopped US IPAs.

    Cider:

    K.

I drink too much. Must have one of my months off.

I'm quite liking BrewDog's Dead Pony Club pale ale at the moment. Well, not at this actual moment, but perhaps at some moments later tonight.

    Mmmmm - grapefruit.

Pressure Drop Nanban Kanpai is in a similar citrus enhanced vein.

Guinness - the proper Dublin stuff.

    Vodka tonic. Or...

1 part lime, 2 parts Gin, 2 parts mineral water. Pour it over ice. OKA, Gin Rickey.

Currently on Bacardi and coke, mainly because it's the only alcohol in the house. Quite partial to Thatchers cider and most spirits with coke with a slice of lemon or lime.

A very good Bloody Mary always gets a smile on my face. Must be spicey though.

Big tom tomato juice is a nice spicy blend for a Bloody Mary.

LBV Port in a warmed glass.

10 year old tawny Port at Christmas, or if I believe deserve a treat.

Just went and bought some Crwrw Eyri, a large packet of Rwiglets and an adult size toothbrush (medium bristle) for bambino because I forgot to pack his tooth brush when he went for his sleep over at his mate.

Naturally the Eyri and the Twiglets are for me as I'm livin' da Vida lock between 9:30 and 10 tonight.

Must admit to having just googled my beer of choice for tonight and it gets pretty rubbish ratings, so a tad disappointed.

Then tonight will be Giro and Peroni night. Thanks TLW, your reputation is well deserved

Cwrw is very light - far too easy to drink and at 3.6% it's a session job. Perfect for a BBQ. Or all day Giro session.

Not a bad drop - same as Garry, reminds me of heady nights at Edwyns second hostelry in Caernarfon.

I prefer Moretti to Peroni, only drink it when in Italy though. Much prefer real ale over here, lager only if it's hot. Don't drink lager very often as a result.

This - Moretti smashes Peroni into the weeds. Moretti is Pantani, Peroni is dopey Millar and all his hipster friends drinking £9 espressos. Moretti fuller flavour and just better.

I just bought 3 bottles of Ringwood Old Thumper for tonight. Will pick up some more Twiglets later.
