Epic FSR vs Epic HT race bike

Alright guys I need your help! I am looking into either an Epic HT or FSR, most likely the World Cup Editions, to be my XC race bike. I already have a yeti Sb5 Enduro for my play/Enduro bike. I live in Phoenix, Arizona so most of my trails are pretty Rocky. However a lot of the races are on less rocky, fairly smooth trails. There's no super technical features in any of the races.

Side note, I also prefer the aggressive, stand up, gear mashing style of racing rather than a lot of seated pedalling0
