Need to see the full replay again when the cop, after seeing what he had done, then threw himself down in the ditch**************************************************

I caught the final 6km or so and when I saw how much time G had lost I thought 'at least he can forget this GT rubbish now and get back to riding the Classics', hadn't realised he'd been taken out. I assume he pushed too hard afterwards as the time gaps were suggesting he was more than matching Quintana towards the end, probably blew once the adrenaline rush wore off.0

Just seen it for the first time. He shouldn't have been there, but there's far worse hazards than that that these pros manage to avoid every day."Unfortunately these days a lot of people don’t understand the real quality of a bike" Ernesto Colnago0

Ditto, now I've seen it I take back what I said before about neutralisation
Nowhere near as dangerous from the moto as the commentary made it out to be0 -
Entertaining post-stage so far, Movistar almost lose a car over the edge of a cliff and Dumoulin drops the s- bomb. Kelderman out.Edinburgh Revolution Curve

And like that the Giro is over for me. Can't stand Movistar.
Another moto another accident.0 -

Well, I think most on here and the entire peloton would completely disagree with you.
Moto stops, even slightly in front of a tightly packed bunch racing full on for the climb and it's going to happen every time.
Not only did he wipe out Sky and Adam Yates, Tom Dumoulin lost his only proper mountain domestique in Wilko K.
He was well peed off to say the least."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -

What's the verdict then?
- Is it not as bad an outside interference as first thought?
- Should Movistar have waited, or at least knocked it off a bit? It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.0 -

I wonder what would've happened if Nibali was amongst those taken down?0 -
You can't blame Movistar. They'd been pushing it on for ages before the crash, it was right at the start of the climb, they were always going to carry on.0
-
So we what do we think is doable for Dumoulin across the two time trials? 2 minutes on Quintana?0

- No problem with Movistar, they didn't change their behaviour. They kept riding the same way as they already were.Twitter: @RichN950 -
Rai now taking pot shots at Sky for not bringing Viviani to their 100th Giro.
Classy.
Imagine if the cop had ko'd Nibali's chances."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -
It's 5h1t but neutralisation or not racing would be awful. I never understand calls for this once race is on.
We've waited a week for a race, pink jersey, nibbles & others were still there.0 -

Landa lost 26'56".
When the Movistar DS was asked if they took advantage of the incident he certainly had a wry smile on his face whilst all the time saying that no they didn't, they were just riding the tempo they had just started setting. Cue divine intervention as the team car starts rolling backwards...0 -
It wouldn't be fair on Quintana if he lost the opportunity to gain time on a stage suited to him. Lots of riders will gain over him on the tt, so he misses the chance to win.0

Movistar had been pressing on all day. It wasn't like they suddenly took advantage and sped off, they just kept going which seems fair enough to me.0

Time for Sky to pull out those needed for Tour duty.“You may think that; I couldn’t possibly comment!”
