Women's road shoes that are 2-hole standard SPD compatible?

Hello - I wonder if anyone can help.

I am looking for a pair of women's road shoes that are standard 2-hole SPD compatible.

In other words, not SPD-SL, and not MTB shoes.

I'm just in the process of returning some Northwave Starlight SRS shoes that I bought my wife for Christmas, that SAY they are standard SPD compatible, but sadly weren't.

Can anyone make any recommendations? They must exist - I have mens shoes that do - and they are required for an indoor spin bike.

Any help would be very welcome!

    Not aware of road shoes with 2 holes... there is nothing wrong with MTBike shoes, they are the same thing, but with a walk-on sole that hides the cleat, which is the reason to go for SPD rather than a road cleat in the first place. Hence, a road shoe with SPD doesn't make much sense, as it would be identical to a MTB shoe

    Me and the missus both wear SPDs on the road and both wear Sidis that have almost identical (cleat and grips aside) road variants.

    If you want, you can unscrew the grips as well as they are replaceable. Not sure if that leaves holes though.

    have a look at Shimano womens shoes, they have SPD mounting.

    Here you go; pretty inocuous white touring shoes.

    I wear touring shoes on my road bike; all the walkability of a recessed MTB cleat, but they look like a road shoe. Probably beneficial being able to walk normally into the spin class too.

    I have a pair of Shimano WR42 shoes with 2 hole spd cleats.

    They are very comfortable, have lasted well over 2 years, seen plenty of mileage - would recommend them.
