I’m doing an organised tour of Yorkshire in September with a group of experienced continental cyclists who saw the Tour de France Grand Départ from Yorkshire in 2014, and have been dying to come over here and ride the roads for themselves. I’ve been riding with this club, the Amicale Euro Cyclotourisme (not a commercial organisation), for some years now, visiting numerous European countries, and for 2017 they’ve asked me to coordinate a visit to the UK.

So, if you fancy a bit of continental atmosphere, but don’t fancy long journeys, poor exchange rates, or risking your bike to airport baggage-handlers, how about joining us? We set off from Beverley, going north across the Wolds and the Moors to Whitby, then west across to Swaledale, over the Buttertubs, on to Malham, Mytholmroyd, then to York before returning to Beverley. Wonderful, varied countryside, comfortable accommodation, all meals and back-up provided.

You can see a slide presentation outlining the tour at http://tinyurl.com/zxst8s8 and lots more info on their site -

You’ll find my contact details on the slides, so please get in touch if you’d like to know more.

Places still available for this ride. Come and see some of the roads covered by this year's professional 'Tour de Yorkshire', but at a less hectic pace!
