Bash Guard Bolts

Right after a number of dropped chains on my last trip to Wales I've decided its time to sort things out!!

I've purchased a new XT M786 rear mech (the old one was bent coming down Snowdon!), have ordered a deda fang and today received a bargain priced Superstar Components Trident bash guard.

However it appears I over looked one fact.... the length of the chainring bolts! I offered the bash guard up to the Race Face NW 32T but clearly the bolts need to be longer and also there needs to be something to space them apart.

Does anyone know if these will do the job: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/e-th ... p-prod5995

or any other (cheaper) suggestions?
