Mixing 9&10 speed

Hey all,

So I'm building a bike from spare parts I have, would I be able to use a 10 speed front ring and the rest being 9 speed???

    Yes.

    When you say front ring, do you mean single? If so its identical to 5-11 speed, if it's multi front ring then only the spacing changes very slightly but it will work fine with 9 speed kit.
    Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
