Saddle height

Over many years and slight tweaking, I have been happy with my fit. About a month ago I was aggravating hams and getting right knee pain, this led to back pain.

I adjusted my saddle down about 5mm and all has been good for about 200 miles.

Have I found the answer or has my body got fitter, confused as to why I have had to lower the saddle - nothing else has changed in my setup.

    You're getting older and shrinking.

Funny that...I'm 47 and the exact same thing happened me last year. After having my saddle at the same height for the last 4 or 5 years, I started getting knee pain last year. I lowered the saddle about 5/6mm and its been perfect ever since and I've left it at that height.

Apart from shrinking you will also be gradually losing flexibility which also has an impact.

On the upside you can now have a really good mid life crisis, Bimbo, drugs etc. :)
