Hey guys!
I am planning to buy a new crankset with a bottom bracket. I am leaning towards the 2 speed shimano slx (22-36) as it has a great value and is at an affordable price but my question is the following: Do i need to worry about the bottom bracket of the cranksrt not fitting in the bottom hole of the frame? Or do all mtb bottom brackets fit on all mtb?

Thanks!

They don't all fit any frame.

Some BBs are pressfit, some are weird sizes.

The Shimano SLX can be made to fit almost any frame, but you may need different bearings and/or adaptors.

So what BB shell do you have in your frame? If its threaded and 68 or 73mm wide its 99% certain it will fit without issue.

Plus what's already been mentioned some cranksets are 24mm axle shimano usually and 30mm on some sram.

What's on your bike at the moment? As you would just get like for like
