Bike Delivery Italy to USA- HOW TO DO IT?

Hello everyone.

I am an happy cyclist, or at least i was.
I recently moved to Boston USA and my road bike it's still in italy.

Do you know what would be the cheapest way to make the bile delivery from ITALy to USA?
Most companies ask for crani money 400-500$ due to the big package.

I hope some of you might have good advices.

    Invite someone to visit you and get them to stick the bike and in the hold

    Are you ever going back to Italy to visit family or friends ??? Bring it back yourself

    Yup,buy a new bike. Independent Fabrication are quite local!

    Worked in Boston for a while, great place, enjoy.

    I went to College there - BC. Where were you?

    Salve Giulio - hope you're settling in well.

    The problem I've had with getting bits in and out of Italy (I'm from the Abruzzo,just outside L'Aquila) is Postal Italiana - really unreliable. Unfortunately a courier or similar is the safest way but as you have correctly said it's so expensive.

    Me? Apartment near McKinley Square (India Street). Worked in the financial district and out in Quincy.
