Does anybody think the through axle will make its way onto entry level bikes for 2018?

So I'm wondering whether to just get a qr bike now, or wait a bit if through axles make their way down the price range. As I understand, boost is becoming a standard for through axle. It might also be better for my height/weight. As 29er spokes repeatedly worked loose in the past.0 -
The axle makes no difference to the spokes.
Whether a through axle is worthwhile depends on what you want to ride. But I bet most people wouldn't notice the difference.I don't do smileys.

I believe boost pitches them at a greater angle, so does affect the way they respond to stress0 -
I think the wheel build will make a much bigger difference.
I ride a 29er and have had no problems with wheels.
Saying that I've been riding for almost half a century and can only think of two broken spokes and one dinged rim in that time.I don't do smileys.

The Diamondback Heist 3.0 has boost spacing and through axles on the 2017 model. That's a sub 1000 pound bike.0
