Looking for a reasonable rear light to use mainly as a daytime running light.
Preferably usb rechargable and not costing silly money, would appreciate any recommendations folks.

Cheers.

I'm using the lezyne strip drive pro, sub 30 notes from sigma sports.

Raceware do brackets for aero posts, not sure if there's one for yours though. Another option is a saddle rail clamp mount like some Moon lights come with or from Raceware again saddle rail clamp with an Exposure TraceR/Flare/Blaze bracket.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

I've wrapped some electrical tape around my Cervelo aero post and my Exposure TraceR light works just fine on it.

I just got a Moon Comet XPro. Came with several mounts including saddle rail. I suspect the standard mount with it's rubber strap would work on an aero seatpost. (It does on my oddly shaped seatstay)

Dangerously bright so I'm sure it would be good as a daytime light.

Instore I bought one for £17.10, seems there was an extra 10% off as well as half price.

I have the strip drive and it is a great light in terms of output. Annoyingly though it always flops to one side - especially on aero seatpost. It shouldn't bother me - but it does. Also on the brighter modes the battery life isn't great - around 2 hours...

I since have brought a cateye volt 50 rear - with a seat bracket - this doesn't kick out quite as much as the lezyne - but stays put - and has a much longer ride time....

Mine has been ok but if not, blu-tack?

I found that if i pull the strap taughter than I oughta it seems to hold steady.

Get some sugru and some clingfilm and you can make a bit of a mount for a light on your aero post.
