Just saw on Inrng's twitter, apparently Sweetspot (who run the ToB) have announced a stage race to be held in SA in 2018

Must admit I've not heard anything about it, seems like a gap in the calendar for that kind of race though. Anyone else familiar?

Not heard about this but makes sense. It's a great country for cycling with a super cycling community. So good roads, landscape and fans... Add in Qhubeka and has the potential for a good event.

Yeah, seems better than having more desert races anyway (I assume it will be at that time of year).
  • With New Zealand also most likely elevating their race to a 2.1 next year (lowest possible for wt team participation), the early season will be quite busy along the southern hemisphere.

Hope they don't wimp out if there's a gentle breeze. SA races seem to get cancelled as soon as it gets a bit blowy, can't see the problem with this one but they called it off anyway

    Extra weetabix required for breakfast.

Reminds me, just two weeks to Gent Wevelgem.
