I didn't do this one on my own, but:

    article-1214729-068183AD000005DC-10_634x482.jpg

I and two of my kids helped James May build this (along with 1,000 other volunteers) at Denbies vineyard (near Box Hill)

From the other thread, my Battle of Hoth:

    IMG_5873_zpstisnmwwu.jpg

And a few of my other sets - the Falcon is based on LEGO's own 10179 set, but I totally redid all the external details, built a different engine with LED lighting, extended and added lighting to the cockpit etc.

These are custom builds, I sourced all the parts and built them, but they're not my own design.

Me and my son built this at Christmas, it's a collection of official sets with all the landscape done by us.

    8FAEDB73-0059-4622-86AD-A06B1ED4DDAF_zpsbkolmlad.jpg

And just for scale, as nobody ever realises how big the Falcon is until they see it in person! This was before I modified it.

Can you adopt me please. I'm fully house trained. I would say lucky son but I'm not sure how much of that he'd be allowed to play with

That falcon is just too big to play with .. you cant pick that up, run up the stairs making a "whraaaahowgh" noise, perform a hammer head at the top of the stairs and fly back down

I spent most of Christmas building a Lego Indiana Jones Temple Escape for my son, complete with rolling stone ball, gold idol booby trap, spears shooting from walls, whip swing and closing door booby trap.

Of course it was smashed to bits soon after and has not been played with since. But I'm fine about it, honest :(

A friend has the Caterham 7 kit and I thought it would be just that, a kit but after watching the 10 minute assembly video on Youtube I realise it more of a model.

    https://shop.lego.com/en-GB/Caterham-Seven-620R-21307

I could quite easily clear the bank account in the Cardiff Lego store.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

Here's a ship I built using 'old Lego', it was about 3 feet long:

However, I have moved on from the old stuff unless I am playing with the girls. I never do kits. Don't see the point as once they're built, the challenge is over and there might be a part of you that wants to keep it which means having to buy more Lego.

This was my first Technics model. A 9v Mad Max bike with gearbox and diff.

I would really like to move on to pneumatics but it's expensive stuff.
