Hi all,

New bike and I am setting it up to fit me and have come across something I havent encountered before.

The seatpost clamp is an internal one which sits in the frame like this one: http://shop.ccm-sport.de/artikel,ccm,en ... nte=962205

I have taken the seatpost out and it looks like the clamp is stuck to the post, is this normal and do i just undo the bolt to release it and push the seatpost down into the tube and then do up so the clamp sits lower than level with the top of the frame/tube?

There is then a rubber grommet that fits over the top to keep the rain out?

Am I getting this wrong or is this what you do?

The clamp should not be stuck to the post. Tap it gently with a rubber mallet and it should pop off. The clamp should remain in the same position (level with frame) whatever the height of the post. Those clamps just act as a wedge to lock the post in place. Probably had a bit of compound put on to stop the post from slipping and gummed them together.

Sorted, figured it out but also managed to crush the Di2 wire to the battery in the process, now to order and fit another one! :(
