Just done the 1 x11 route on the mega.

GX SHIFTER
NX DERAILLEUR
SRAM PG1130 CASSETTE
KMC CHAIN

all done for £128 so quite cheap.

Just ome problem. The cassette seems wider and looks / feels like it's rubbing on the inside of the frame. I measured the cassette agains the new one when mounted and it's definitely 2 to 3 mm wider.
It's supposed to compatible so any suggestions?

It will be wider but should overhang the wheel side not the frame side, after all the lockring is in the same place!
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

That's exactly what figured. Cassettes is tight so no movement. I'll have to have another look

The most the cassette could stick out more is about 1mm using up the tolerance on the locknut.

Still not right. Reseated all cogs. Put old cassette back on sub Axle sticks past the cassette by approx 5mm. New cassette is about 2mm less. (Left my vernier at work so cannot get exact measurement with these eyes)

    Any ideas

It's a nukeproof mega tr 2014 with nukeproof generator hubs. 12mm maxle.
It was running a sram 10 speed cassette then changed it to a 10 speed Slx one. Then onto the 11 speed.

It sounds like the freehub isn't 11 speed compatible

That's what it's looking like but sram's website states it's compatible with all older generation hubs

"Compatible with non xd driver body"

Just a thought; is there a spacer/shim on the Freehub that needs to be removed? I know on a set of wheels on one of my bikes (Mavic Crossrides) there is a spacer that is fitted to the Freehub if you are using a 9-speed cassette.

Unfortunately there isn't a spacer. I whipped the bike to lbs at dinner. Checked my installation and came up with my bikes just not suitable for 1x 11.
My reckoning I need a 12mm maxle nut that's just a ltitle bit longer or make up a washer spacer and bond onto frame.
