I live in Cyprus. 1st picture is from Klirou dam, a village in Nicosia. 2nd is from salt lake in Larnaca, 3rth is from Macheras mountains, and the forth from Ficardou village. Its a village with no permanent residents but is fully restored so at the weekends is full of visitors. I will upload some more pictures, my small country is very beautiful and ideal for cyclists, we have every kind of terrain, but man is so hilly!

It's somewhere I'd never considered riding, but that paved/cobbled climb just looks awesome - how much of the road is like that?

About 3km. Is the road inside the village.

Actually in Cyprus a lot of professional teams are coming at winter for their training, (our weather is great compared to the central Europe),like Tinkoff 2 years a go, and soon we have an international MTB competition named Cyprus sunshine cup. Maybe i will post on the MTB section some pictures of my rides too.
