Can I add volume spacers to a coil fork?

Hello, I have a Marzocchi 350 R coil fork with as air preload adjuster. I am wondering if I can put volume spacers or is this just absurd?

    You can probably just add a bit of grease. Does the same thing.

    I doubt you can as the coil will be in the way, as CD says just use some grease or fork oil.

    That said the air pressures are so low it will probably make 2 parts of naff all difference!
    Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
