Hi everyone i`ve just joined the site and looks like a great site from what ive seen.
For the last few months ive been looking around for a new bike as ive had my Merida Ride for around 3 yrs so looking to upgrade now.
Ive looked at a few bikes over the few months and ive taken to these at the moment
Specialised venge vias di2 disc
Scott Foil team issue
Scott solace premium

I`am also going to attend London bike show on 18th so i hope to see a few options

I`am very much open to idea`s as i have a budget of 6k

My first option was the venge but unsure now reading reviews on how stiff this is
I also like the look of Scott foil

Any help would be great

  • 6K to spend on a bike and you want advice from people on the internet?

Get to shops, go for rides, choose the one you want.
  • i`ve been to a few shops was hpoing to get a little advise on here maybe someone owns a venge or scott
  • Is it for racing?

If not, I'm not sure I'd be limiting my choice to these ultra-stiff (and quite frankly, ugly IMO), models.

I know a few ppl who race Venge and comment how harsh they are, which is kind of ok for racing. I've got the older Scott Foil- again, race stiff.

I'd go Tarmac S-Works over Venge any day personally. In fact, maybe take your wad of cash to the bike show and loiter around on the last day- you might pick up a bargain on a demo bike :D

What do you ride now? What do you like or dislike about it?

Discs? Rim brakes? Di2? Carbon wheels?

    What riding do you do?

Your budget covers about 99% of bikes so you need to give us a clue.

If you dont know then keep hold of the cash til you do.
  • Im after a new bike as well, but got budget of only 1k. I am also thinking of going to London bike show. Is it worth going there hoping to land a bargain? Never been to one before so not really sure if it will be worth the time and traveling cost.
