Mate is looking at buying a bike with a local dealer that's second hand.

It a Specialized Roubaix, which the dealer says he thinks is 2012 model.

I personally think its a 2009 pro sl.

Dark Blue and White Fact carbon frame with zertz inserts.
Dura ace 7900 shifters mechs, Ultegra 6700 brakes and Specialized Carbon Chainset
S works stem and Post with S Works Carbon handlebars
Roval Fusee E5 wheelset.

Its in really good condition with just a few cosmetic marks on the drop outs. Groupset looks really good
My only concerns are if it is 2009 model then its over 8 years old and I don't know the history of the Carbon Frame and Bars?

They want £600 for it, but I m pretty sure he's wrong about the age of the bike so I was thinking More £450

Standard rule applies. It is worth what someone will pay for it.
Make an offer and walk out.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Okay different question. Would you buy 8 year old carbon if it looked cosmetically sound?

Assuming it was also functionally sound and the price was right.
