Is it better than the Voodoo Bizango?

Here's the link to the Carrera:

As a lover of the Fury the 2010 / 2011 model was the best and it has been downgraded ever since. IMHO.

Well supersonic recommended the Fury for me a while back. I could have bought something tripe, but I checked on the forum, and have been here (lurking mostly) ever since.

I thought it fitting to post this.

The 2 links above showing current 1x11 against 2x 10 from old model, i would probably go with current model. The Bizango is a different beastie as its a 29er against the Fury's 27.5. Personally of the 2 it would still be the Fury against the Bizango, have posted link below for you.

The Fury does have a lesser spec on paper compared some older models - the good thing is though that some of these more budget parts have got better and better over time, ie the Raidon XC is now alu legged rather than steel and is pretty similar to the old entry level Epicon. The SRAM NX divides opinions: a lot have wanted a wider ranging 2x system at this price, but it is one of the very few bikes to sport a 1x11 groupset for this cash, though I feel a XD hub with a 10-42 cassette would really add to the bike. But as Oxoman says, probably a better bet than the 2015 model that had the x5 gearing and, as also mentioned, the Bizango is a little different with the larger hoops (and I am a fan of the Deore set up).

I don't think you can go wrong with either, is just preference.

I think the NX is better than X5 which doesnt really seem to have improved that much in the last 10 years, its OK new but seems to age quite quickly.

As noted you need to be careful of names, the Raidon XC is very different to the older Raidons.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
  • As everyone has mentioned above both bikes are very similar specs. The brakes on the bizango are surprisingly very good also it comes with maxxis ardents which are great.

Careers fury is a popular bike but the bizango wins awards year on year

I had a new model Bizango and currently have the 2014 Fury - for me at 5'8 I have to say that I am really impressed with the Fury

I've not had Sram before, but the X5 shifters and cranks are excellent - smooth changing and no dropped chains so far. The Raidons are a very good fork - I had some play in the 29er versions and the stanchions were replaced under warranty. The replacements also seemed to develop a bit of play after not many miles, so I'd watch that. The Fury has an easily serviceable external BB which is also good.
Pound for pound they are both excellent bikes, I'm just a bit more partial to the Fury (2x10 model)

Ross another option if your still looking is the Boardman 27,5 pretty much similar spec to previous years fury.
Just noticed that they've increased the price yet again to full whack. I paid under 470 just under 2weeks ago. If you've already got your bike it would be interesting to know what you got and what you think of it.

I ordered it on April 26th. It had been years since I got on a bike. It's the best hardtail I've ridden. I've had full suspension, bmx and rigid before, and all of my bikes previously have been tripe (as I was poor then, and things have come a long way since). Getting back into the scene has been fun. I even love when I have a busy day, just grabbing a bit of time to travel around where I live.
