Hi, I'm new to biking....Well since I was a kid a long time ago, Now just over 50, looking to get fitter, I do use the gym and work outdoors so fit ish, but hate running so thought this a better option. Don't want to spend the earth and have I think narrowed it to these two? What do you think? I will be using it on roads and trails mostly.
Many thanks

  • For road and light gravel paths, the Marasa.

The Vengeance for some limited down hill fun.

    They're two totally different bikes.

The Carrera is a mountain bike, with suspension forks, knobbly tyres
The Voodoo is a hybrid, with rigid fork, with multi-use tyres (road and off road)
    Say... That's a nice bike..

The Marasa is a good value bike and very flexible, my nephew has the older model and runs it in 32mm road tyres on road and 2.15" knobblies as a rigid MTB, for what you describe the Marasa is the better bet. While it's classed as a hybrid it's more truthfully a rigid 29er MTB on dual use tyres.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
