A great loss to music. He wrote one third of Status Quo's music. Only one though.

Means we have to wait for next Christmas before we can use any 'Last Christmas' jokes.

It's terrible, I don't know how you people can joke about this. Poor George. One day he's fine the wham, dead.

Let's hope he's an organ donor then.

I reckon he had quite a few organ donations in his time!

Now actress Liz Smith as well (nana in the Royle family) but at 95 it hardly counts as premature.

What gets my goat is when a pop star dies, everyone suddenly becomes a lifelong fan despite having never shown any interest previously.
The amount of posts on Facebook I've seen about George Michael from people who never listen to any music is nuts. And they've all got some made up story about how his music helped them through the toughest time of their life. What utter b0110cks, the toughest experience of their life was that time Greggs was shut when they fancied a sh1t pastie.
Personally, I found his music rather bland.

You mean Richard Adams. Douglas Adams died like 15 years ago.
It takes as much courage to have tried and failed as it does to have tried and succeeded.

No celebrity deaths to report yet today but the way it's going there'll be a load later in the day.

At least that'll give the farkbookers time to get some new memes together!

I reckon bg is bumping them off, how often is he the first to post with the news? Yet he still can't get his own picks. That's an admirable level of incompetence.

Early Thursday offering is Debbie Reynolds, Carrie Fisher's mum.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.
